REACH volunteers at America's Grow-a-Row

IQVIA’s Race, Ethnicity, and Cultural Heritage Employee Resource Group supports their community and highlights health inequalities, partnering with America’s Grow-a-Row.

IQVIA’s Race, Ethnicity, and Cultural Heritage (REACH) Employee Resource Group (ERG) donated their time and efforts to America’s Grow-a-Row, harvesting seasonal crops to help local community members struggling with food insecurity.

REACH, whose mission is to create a supportive and collaborative community for IQVIA employees who represent racial, ethnic and cultural minorities, is committed to supporting local communities and highlighting health inequalities.

Using a paid volunteer day, also known as IQVIA Day, members of REACH partnered with America’s Grow-a-Row to harvest 64,000 pounds of squash – enough to give 2,232 individuals in need a fresh serving of produce every day for 16 weeks.

“The impact that Grow-A-Row makes every day to provide fresh produce to those near and far is astounding and inspiring,” said Nicole Pra Sisto, Account Manager at IQVIA and REACH North America Lead. “We were humbled by their stories and honored by the opportunity to partner with this organization. I look forward to partnering with Grow-A-Row again."

What is IQVIA Day?

At IQVIA, making a positive impact in the world matters to us, as an organization, and our employees. To support employees’ interests, passion for making a difference and giving back to the communities where we live and work, we have IQVIA Day — a volunteer program for IQVIA employees.

Employees are encouraged to take one paid business day off any time during the year to volunteer with a charitable, not-for-profit organization of their choice. Individual and group activities qualify.
