Our CRA development program in Australia and New Zealand equips participants with the skills and knowledge needed to successfully serve our customers and their patients as Clinical Research Associates. In recent years, we’ve graduated over 150 CRAs from the program, with many advancing into Senior CRA roles or growing with us as Clinical Project Managers or Line Managers, among many others opportunities.

The Australia and New Zealand program accepts approximately 15 participants per cohort on a twice-yearly basis. Be sure to join our Global Talent Network so we can notify you when the next opportunity to apply becomes available.

What can you expect from the program?

  • Receive a full-time salary while participating in the training program
  • Join in-person, classroom-style trainings in Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland or access virtual sessions if located in a different city
  • Gain ongoing support from local, dedicated onboarding managers, trainers, line managers and mentors
  • Learn from experienced CRAs, line managers and quality managers, through role-playing exercises and onsite learning opportunities at hospitals and clinics
  • Work across a variety of therapeutic areas and phases of clinical development
  • Train on ICH GCP and local ethics and regulatory environment requirements
  • Grow with fellow participants who represent a broad range of professional experiences and scientific/research backgrounds
  • Earn a full-time CRA job upon successful completion of the program within one of three different business models: sponsor-dedicated, full-service, IQVIA Biotech


What skills and experiences are required to be considered?

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare or other life sciences discipline
  • Experience in a clinical research position preferred, e.g., in-house CRA, Clinical Trials Assistant or Clinical Trials Coordinator
  • Basic understanding of clinical research governing principles such as ICH GCP and the ethical and regulatory frameworks in Australia and New Zealand
  • Fluency in English and excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Demonstrable problem-solving, critical thinking and time management skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and customers
