Our Field Service Technicians experience a unique opportunity to employ their technical experience by collaborating with healthcare professionals and leading technical initiatives in medical device technology. In this role as a Field Service Technician, there will be a mixture of remote technical support and travel to service automated medication dispensing systems.

  • Remote work from your home office would consist of providing customer support, remoting into the customer’s device/network to complete software upgrades, support installations, and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues.

  • When traveling, you will be responsible for installing both hardware and software for automated medication dispensing devices, and then delivering education to the healthcare professionals within healthcare systems throughout the United States.

Assignments requiring travel may be local, regional, or national (anywhere within the United States). Due to the travel and standard business hours, the role requires open availability Monday through Friday, and would involve working 40 Hours or more weekly per assignment needs. The role is estimated to complete up to 25% travel, 75% remote work, however this percentage may vary at times depending upon client need. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable with travel up to 100%.

Responsibilities: 

  • Organizing, testing, and updating medical devices; installing and configuring hardware, software, and network products, remotely or in person at the customer sites.
  • Set-up and organization of equipment and workstations.
  • Conduct routine checks and record data from product tests after installation and configuration. 
  • Troubleshooting networking or device issues as they arise during installations
  • Educate healthcare staff on utilization of the device and software solution
  • Other assignments for upgrades, preventative maintenance, or Windows 7 to 10 migrations
  • Partner with a team of support staff, manage project timelines and customer needs.
  • Per-diem position requiring travel and open flexibility 

Experience Requirements and Preferences: 

  • 2+ years related technical experience preferred.
    • Experience in field technical role with focus on both hardware and software installations (IT field service, IT Help desk, biomedical, electronics field service, engineering, or equipment technician roles), A+ certification is a plus
  • Experience working while connected to a federal network highly preferred
  • Strong profession business acumen and communication skills required
  • Must be comfortable with basic software programs and Microsoft operating systems
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble equipment and devices required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • Military veterans, active-duty Reserves/National Guard and DoD Contractors with experience in an electronics or IT related MOS encouraged to apply!

Job Requirements:

  • Must have active federal clearance to be eligible for this role
  • Must have an active CaC, or have had a CaC within the past 2 years to be eligible for this role
  • An active and unrestricted driver license required
  • Must have a personal vehicle and be willing to use it for job related assignments up to 3 hours from home
  • Must be located within 1 hour of a major airport
  • Ability to work independently from a home office and in customer settings with minimal supervision required
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds required
  • Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements, including providing proof of up-to-date vaccination status, required

Duties may require compliance with client requirements that all those performing services on-site be fully vaccinated.

The potential base pay range for this role is $28.00 - $31.00 per hour. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
