We are seeking a Senior Specimen Management Associateto join IQVIA Laboratories in Austin, TX.

As the Senior Specimen Management Associate, you will be responsible for various activities associated with storage and shipment of clinical specimens, equipment maintenance, and guiding entry level staff on routine procedures.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Accessioning and problem resolution ensuring all samples are accurately identified, sorted, and labeled for testing and/or storage.

  • Monitoringscheduled and ad hoc requests to ensure timely completion.

  • Guiding entry level staff on department procedures and the on-boarding of new staff.

  • Identifying areas of risk that may impact client deliverables.

  • Supporting and responding to after-hour alarms and/or other job critical functions.

  • Implementing assigned changes in Specimen Management procedures/techniques.

  • Notifying inventory staff of supply shortages.

  • Representing Specimen Management team on cross functional projects.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required.

  • 2 years of related experience.

  • Basic level knowledge of systems and procedures in assigned functional area.

  • Or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed for this role:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures. 

  • Experience providing training and mentoring, participation in presentations, participation in group projects, and coordinating operational activities.

  • Good computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously and strong attention to detail and accuracy.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $47,600.00 - $79,300.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
