Job Overview

The RWE consultant will focus on the design, planning, execution, and delivery of real-world research using secondary databases and the design of primary data collection studies. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with IQVIA’s external health system/technology partners to contribute to the body of scientific evidence for improved patient care. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with experienced consultants, researchers, and data scientists to support the design, development, and delivery of a wide range of projects. Assignments vary in complexity and delivery model, from developing new solutions to address specific client problems to taking global and regional solutions to new clients.

Essential Functions

• Manage the design, execution, and reporting/results of real-world evidence (RWD/RWE) studies, database studies, and primary data source studies

Assists with the review and analysis of client requirements or problems and assists in the development of proposals and client solutions.

Lead the background research to define requirements from healthcare databases to meet study objectives and oversee qualitative/quantitative feasibility assessments.
• Contribute to the writing of study protocols, statistical analysis plans, and study reports such as manuscripts, abstracts, and/or posters
• Contribute to the regulatory process to submit and obtain approval from the research ethics committee

• Assists in the business development activities and proposal writing

• Participate in project teams that include data scientists, statisticians, and consultants
• Participate in the development of abstracts, manuscripts, and/or presentations for project conferences
• Assists in the development of detailed documentation and specifications.
• Performs quantitative or qualitative analyses to assist in the identification of client issues and the development of client specific solutions.
• Develops, and may present, complete client deliverables within known/identified frameworks and methodologies.
• Proactively develops a basic knowledge of consulting methodologies and the life sciences market through the delivery of consulting engagements and participation in formal and informal learning opportunities.
• Engagement based responsibilities are assigned and managed by Senior Consultants, Engagement Managers or Principals.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree Req

Master’s degree or equivalent in Epidemiology or related discipline Req
• 3-5 years of related experience Req

• Fluency in English (spoken and written) Req

• Experience in designing and executing retrospective epidemiological studies in existing databases
• Experience in designing and executing observational and/or phase IV epidemiological studies Req
• Works willingly and effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals.

• Knowledge of research methods, tools and techniques, related to one’s functional area.
• Knowledge of current events and developments within an industry and major competitors.

• Knowledge of professional/trade associations, key people and companies.
• Effective time management skills.
