Job Summary: The Regional Manager - Animal Health - Poultry will oversee and manage the poultry health programs within the region. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to improve poultry health, managing regional operations, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in poultry health management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement regional strategies for poultry health and disease prevention.
  • Oversee the health and welfare of poultry, including disease prevention, treatment, and vaccination programs.
  • Manage and supervise regional staff, ensuring adherence to procedures and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and animal welfare guidelines.
  • Collaborate with local and international stakeholders to enhance poultry health initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyse poultry health data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports on regional poultry health status and program outcomes.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for the procurement of poultry supplies and equipment.
  • Provide training and support to regional staff on best practices in poultry health management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in poultry science and implement beneficial practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in veterinary science, Animal Science, or a related field; a master’s degree or PhD is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in poultry health management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of poultry diseases, nutrition, and welfare
  • Proven experience in managing regional operations and leading teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software.
