Job Description:
We are seeking Oracle DBA Manager with 7 to 10 years of experience to lead a team of DB admins. The ideal candidate will have experience managing and maintaining large-scale Oracle databases, as well as a strong understanding of performance tuning, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery.
Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of database administrators, providing guidance and direction as needed.
• Manage and maintain large-scale Oracle databases, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching.
• Troubleshoot database issues and work with application teams to resolve them
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions
• Manage and maintain Oracle databases, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching (Multiple Versions)
• Strong technical background along with the ability to perform business analysis and write effective documentation and specifications.
• Should have worked in production support environment.
• Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Develop and implement disaster recovery and backup plans.
• Perform database backups and restores.
• Create and maintain database documentation, including procedures and guidelines.
• Troubleshoot database issues and work with application teams to resolve them.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions.
• Ensure security and compliance of databases.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
• Expertise in Always-On Availability Groups (AAG) and HA/DR Troubleshooting
• Expertise in Database Administration on Production Servers with server configuration, performance tuning and maintenance with outstanding troubleshooting capabilities.
• Azure platform is an added advantage.
Skill Requirements:
• 7+ years of exp in Oracle DB administration.
• Experience in Migration of Oracle 10g, 11gr2, and 12c Production Databases.
• Experience in Upgrading an Oracle Database by applying patch sets.
• Performed Database Backups using RMAN, Data pump, Export/import, and cold backup.
• Expertise in planning and implementation of Backup and Recovery strategy for database using physical backup, logical backup and RMAN.
• Experience in cold backup restoration from one server to other server and automated the cold backup restoration using script windows batch script.
• Performance tuning of database, identification, and resolution of contention, defining and implementing Backup Recovery policy and day-to-day monitoring of the Production database.
• Experience on working with Real application cluster RAC and Automatic Storage Management.
• Experience in Oracle Enterprise Manager OEM12c setup and configuring for monitoring.
