Medical Information Specialist
Job description
Review, assess, and process safety data and information across service lines from various sources. Distribute reports/data to internal and external third parties following applicable regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and internal guidelines, with guidance and support from senior operation team members.
Essential Functions
Prioritize and complete assigned training on time.
Process safety data according to regulations, guidelines, SOPs, and project requirements.
Perform pharmacovigilance activities, including collecting and tracking incoming Adverse Events (AEs)/endpoint information, determining initial/update status of incoming events, database entry, coding AEs and products, writing narratives, and literature-related activities.
Ensure quality standards are met per project requirements.
Meet productivity and delivery standards per project requirements.
Ensure compliance with all project-related processes and activities.
Create, maintain, and track cases as applicable to the project plan.
Identify quality problems and bring them to the attention of a senior team member.
Liaise with different functional team members and healthcare professionals to address project-related issues.
Mentor new team members if assigned by the Manager and attend project team meetings to provide feedback.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field is a must.
Relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Advanced level of English.
Good knowledge of medical terminology and working knowledge of applicable safety databases and other internal/client applications.
Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
