Associate, Quantitative and Qualitative Research, QualityMetric/Patient Centered Solutions
Purpose of Job:
This position provides support to analysts and scientists engaging in health-related quality of life research projects that emphasizes the voice of the patient experience. This includes health outcomes analysis projects, strategy projects, patient-reported outcome and other clinical assessment development projects, and publications work. The Research Assistant position is entry-level and has provided training and experience to advance in a research career track, to high levels such as analyst, project manager, and other positions.
Job Components
Major Responsibilities:
- Learn about survey research methods and qualitative and quantitative methods in healthcare research and assist scientific team members in conducting research projects to better understand how disease and treatment affects patients
- Conduct thorough, detailed review of survey materials to detect and document deviations from source content
- Preparation of and editing of presentations (PowerPoint slides) and spreadsheets (Excel files)
- Copy edits documents for formatting, accuracy, and other typographical errors
- Basic project management activities
- Facilitation of meeting arrangements, including minute-taking
- Maintenance and communication of project timelines
- Scanning and collating of project materials
- Conduct electronic literature searches and draft written summaries
- Obtain reprints of scientific articles
- Use of bibliographic software (Citavi)
- Document management/filing on SharePoint
- Assumes responsibility for completing tasks in a given timeline and in accordance with quality standards
- Follows company and department standard operating procedures
- Interacts effectively and collegially with all employees, fostering a supportive and cross departmental sharing environment
- Meets deadlines and follows up without being prompted, makes effective use of time
Qualifications
Education:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Master’s degree preferred.
Knowledge:
Strong grasp of scientific research methods and literature search methods required; knowledge of survey research and survey development would be an asset.
Skills:
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with bibliographic software such as Reference Manager/Citavi.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $80,100.00 - $133,500.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
