Associate Product & Strategy Director - Health Data
Job description
Role Summary:
The Health Data Associate Product & Strategy Director is responsible for sourcing and leveraging health data for the benefit of the Digital business, its products, partners, and clients. The Health Data Associate Director is the subject matter expert, product ambassador, and primary point of contact for health data within the Digital business. This role will also have some responsibilities for client success. This role will report to the Director, Health Data Product Owner.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing requirements and all activities for internal and external health data, including product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life, ensuring quality standards are met and that the product/s support the company’s overall strategy and goals.
- Assess and understand the market, defining product strategy, vision, and roadmap prioritization and planning for assigned offerings, clients, or relationships.
- Detail the product specs, prioritize, and translate requirements to story points.
- Manage procurement activities related to planning, executing, supervising, control of technical, operational, financial, budgeting, and contractual commitments.
- Identify gaps and provide technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications and scales new and current systems, processes, and procedures in a cost-effective manner.
- When needed an applicable, support Digital clients through projects as a success manager and subject matter expert.
- Work closely with the Health Data Product Owner in internal & external projects.
Product Strategy
- Be the subject matter expert, product ambassador and primary point of contact for leveraging IQVIA and third-party health data for the benefit of the Digital business, its products, partners, and clients.
- Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategy for the product portfolio, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business objectives.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams, to gather insights and feedback.
- Support the use of health data for the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch and post-launch analysis.
- Evangelize and educate staff on available health data.
Product Operations
- Define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer feedback, business impact, and ROI.
- Identify IQVIA-owned health data which can be leveraged by products within Digital.
- Establish relationships with owners and leadership of the IQVIA-owned health data to facilitate mutual success.
- When necessary, identity sources of third-party health data.
- Be the subject matter expert for tokenization.
- Oversee the processes and mechanisms that enable the integration of health data into our products, ensuring seamless accessibility and utilization.
- Oversee the processes and systems for delivering health data to our clients and partners, ensuring timely and efficient distribution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure successful product development and implementation.
- Work with GTM teams who have opportunities to license IQVIA health data to our clients.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and inform decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the product team and across the organization.
Financial and Compliance
- Establish and manage new commercial and pricing model for IQVIA or 3rd-party health data. Responsible for the contract template.
- Lead the financial, contracting, legal, privacy, information grievance discussions for in-house health data and coordinate with the Partnership team for finances associated with third-party health data.
- Responsible for information governance and privacy issues relating to health data, which includes explaining how a given dataset, and our use of it, is complaint with U.S. law. Also includes management of re-identification risk determination (RRD) studies.
- Stay abreast of changes to U.S. law and regulatory environment which might affect health data. Work with stakeholders to adapt to new or emerging restrictions.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years relevant industry experience in health data, including Product Management responsibilities.
- Strong business acumen with a track record of driving revenue growth and fostering strategic partnerships.
- Proven track record at developing mid-level and high-level contacts.
- Strategic business and Industry awareness and the ability to translate emerging Industry trends relevant to the organization.
- Solid understanding of commercialization and the principles of drug discovery and development
- Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to work creatively and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to work simultaneously on multiple priorities.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to influence others both internally and externally.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $118,200.00 - $241,500.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
